Annelise Romer

I am originally from the coastal town of Forster and moved to Newcastle and the greater Hunter region to study speech pathology at university. I love to read, go to the beach and relax with my family and friends. I enjoy going out for dinner and trying new foods whenever I can!

University of Newcastle | Bachelor of Speech Pathology (Honours)
Graduated 2024

I really enjoy all aspects that speech pathology has to offer. My favourite area would be either early language intervention or swallowing intervention in adults. Two very different ends of the scale.

I like to follow a play-based approach to therapy for children thatĀ focuses on holistic, client centred goals and outcomes. I want my therapy for adults to be inclusive of their main goals and develop intervention that is functional and helps them to achieve their wants and needs.Ā

I love the people I work with and the encouragement they provide to succeed. I enjoy learning from other disciplines and being able to take on a holistic approach that aims to achieve client centred therapy.Ā

I love to travel! I even travelled with my university to volunteer in a remote fijian village and offer insight into what a speechĀ pathologist does!Ā
