Laura D’Amico

I love hanging out with my friends and family, travelling and the beach! I love working with children and adults to develop their communication skills, and I feel so lucky to be able to do this everyday at Raymond Terrace Therapy.

I am a Newcastle local, and have completed many placements in the Newcastle area. I have worked at Raymond Terrace Therapy for multiple years as a Therapy Assistant, prior to my graduation in 2023.

University of Newcastle | Bachelor of Speech Pathology (Honours)
Graduated in 2023

PD: I am looking forward to completing professional development courses to continue my learning!

I am passionate about all areas of speech pathology, but I have a special interest in early intervention. In particular, I love working in the paediatric feeding space and with speech sound difficulties.

I like to use a functional approach to therapy, and understand the goals of clients, and select appropriate therapy based on these goals.
I especially love using play-based therapy with children, as they have lots of fun, and multiple speech pathology areas can be targeted!

Raymond Terrace Therapy is such an amazing workplace, as I get to work alongside other allied health professionals who I can collaborate with, to achieve the best outcomes for clients. I also feel so lucky to be able to work in this supportive and special community of Raymond Terrace, and with such incredible clients!

You’ll always see me wearing fun pants at work!
