Outback Therapy is currently looking for a qualified Physiotherapist to provide services in our newly established Lightning Ridge clinic.
Outback Therapy is a branch of Raymond Terrace Therapy, providing a multidisciplinary team approach. Services are provided within the clinic, home, community and partnered health facilities.
We provide therapy to all ages and abilities. Our current therapies include; Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy and Speech Pathology. Our business is a registered NDIS provider for early intervention supports and therapy supports.

As a new graduate or an experienced Physiotherapist you will join our private practice and provide clinical services within our Outback Therapy (Lightning Ridge) clinic.
Within the Outback Therapy setting, your caseload will be mixed, from paediatrics to adults, from acute injuries to chronic disease and disability. Your role will be supported by our senior Physiotherapist. You will develop your ability to provide a comprehensive range assessments and interventions for individuals living with mild to complex needs. The predominant focus of this role is to assist clients achieve their therapy goals, whilst working in a larger picture of an allied health team. Therapy is goal-oriented and client-centered.
As part of your position, supporting the implementation of pain management program within our partnered Residential Aged Care facility. This will consist of approximately 4-6 days per month.
Your responsibilities may include:
- Completing assessments and interventions for musculoskeletal conditions, acute injuries, chronic health and disease. Manual Handling.
- Delivering evidence based and goal directed physiotherapy interventions
- Completing clinic, home and community visits
- Delivering a range of services under Medicare, NDIS, Private, iCare and Workcover.
- Supporting pain management program within RACF
- Provision of individual and groups programs
- The role will allow for someone to grow / implement rural service delivery and offerings. Being a pivotal allied health provider in delivering primary access and chronic care.

What are the requirements?
Essential criteria:
- Bachelor degree or Masters degree in Physiotherapy
- Professional Indemnity insurance
- Working with Children check
- Police check
- Valid driver’s license
- First Aid
Desirable criteria
- Post graduate experience as a Physiotherapist working with children and or adults
- Completion of Worker Orientation Module called ‘Quality, Safety and You’
- Word, excel and practice management system skills (e.g. Cliniko)
- Knowledge and understanding of NDIS practice standards
- Experience working autonomously
- Experience working within a small team
- Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (HLTAID001) certification.
- The ability to work independently as well as part of a team to support the delivery of safe, efficient and high quality care to patients.
- Demonstrated strong oral and written communication skills and the ability to communicate at all levels of the organisation and externally with a range of personnel
