About the business
Raymond Terrace Therapy provides a multidisciplinary team approach. Our clinic is located inside Capital Chemist Raymond Terrace. we offer clinic, home and community consultation. Our services include physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech pathology, dietetics and building consultations for home modifications. Allied health assistants also work within the team. Within our facility we have six clinic rooms, a sensory room, an exercise therapy room and office space.
Situated within the community, we provide services to all walks of life, from paediatrics to geriatrics. We are a NDIS registered provider and provide early intervention and capacity building services to all ages.

Raymond Terrace is a town in the Hunter Region, about 25km (by road) north of Newcastle and 20 minutes to Newcastle Airport.

We are looking for clinicians who share our vision for improving healthcare access to rural communities. As an experienced, or early career Podiatrist, you love to make a difference in the lives of rural Australians by working with them to improve their foot function and mobility.
About the role
Raymond Terrace Therapy are recruiting a qualified Podiatrist with full AHPRA registration to provide services on a fortnightly FIFO/DIDO basis to a remote medical service that we are currently contracted to provide other Allied Health Services.
You will provide high-quality podiatric care to clients from all walks of life within a community medical setting, building relationships to maximise foot care and overall enhancing their health and wellbeing.
This role provides the flexibility to be based outside of the Raymond Terrace area and travel to the remote location on a week on / week off basis. Flexibility to provide additional services and expand our Raymond Terrace Therapy offerings may be considered.
Your responsibilities may include:
- Assessing, diagnosing, treating and evaluating abnormalities and diseases related to the foot and lower limb
- Diabetic foot health assessments
- Contributing towards the patient’s chronic disease management plan
- Provide treatment for high-risk patient groups
- Offer footwear and foot care advice and education to patients, family members, staff and carers
- Make referrals to other healthcare professionals as appropriate
- Maintain quality documentation and treatment planning procedures
- Undertake a range of administrative tasks such as ensuring your stock levels are maintained, and that equipment is kept in good working order, reporting and handovers as required.
Essential criteria:
- Bachelor degree in Podiatry/Podiatric Medicine or equivalent
- AHPRA Registration
- Professional Indemnity insurance
- Working with Children check
- NDIS Workers Screening Check
- Police check
- Valid driver’s licence
- First Aid & CPR
Desirable criteria
- Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as part of a team to support the delivery of safe, efficient and high quality care to patients.
- Demonstrated strong oral and written communication skills
- Knowledge and understanding of NDIS practice standards
- Information Technology competence: e.g. Google Suite and practice management system skills (Our practice software is Cliniko, Communicare)
- Cultural awareness and sensitivity
