About the business

Raymond Terrace Therapy provides a multidisciplinary team approach. Our clinic is located inside Capital Chemist Raymond Terrace. We offer clinic, home and community consultation. Our services include Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology, Dietetics and building consultations for home modifications. Therapy Assistants also work within the team. Within our facility we have six clinic rooms, a sensory room, an exercise therapy room and office space.

Situated within the community, we provide services to all walks of life, from paediatrics to geriatrics. We are a NDIS registered provider and provide early intervention and capacity building services to all ages.

About Raymond Terrace 

Raymond Terrace is a service hub set on the banks of the Hunter River, attracting visitors and providing services to local Port Stephens residents and surrounding communities. Raymond Terrace is a town in the Hunter Region, about 25km (by road) north of Newcastle and 20 minutes to Newcastle Airport. 

About you 

We’re after a proactive and compassionate individual who thrives in a client-facing role and enjoys variety in their work. You should be an excellent communicator, highly organised, and eager to learn. Experience in customer service, administration, or healthcare support would be beneficial, but a positive attitude and willingness to grow in the role are key.

  • Have experience in Allied Health Assistant?
  • Have experience as a receptionist and or allied health administration?
  • Currently studying an Allied Health degree in Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology or Physiotherapy?

About the role

We are seeking a friendly, motivated, and versatile individual to join our team in a blended role that combines Reception and Administration duties with the opportunity to assist in Therapy programs. This dynamic position will involve:

  • Reception & Administration (Tuesdays & Thursdays):
    As the first point of contact for our clients, you will provide excellent customer service, manage appointment scheduling, and support the day-to-day administrative operations of the business. Your role will play a key part in ensuring a smooth and positive client experience from first contact through to service access.
  • Therapy Assistant (Wednesdays):
    Working closely with an Allied Health Professional, you will assist in the delivery of therapy programs, helping clients progress toward their health and wellness goals. Your contributions will be essential in supporting the success of treatment plans and client outcomes. The Therapy Assistant role is responsible for implementing therapy plans designed and supervised by our practitioners, creating resources, housekeeping duties.

Your responsibilities may include:

  • Greet clients and visitors, providing exceptional customer service
  • Manage phone and email inquiries, appointment bookings, and general administration tasks. Assist with our referral and data mangement.
  • Support the client journey, ensuring a seamless experience from start to finish
  • Assist with therapy sessions and programs, under the guidance of an Allied Health Professional
  • Maintain accurate client records and help ensure the smooth running of daily operations

You will be joining a fun, energetic team with a reputation for providing high-quality services. Our business hours are Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 5:00pm (Yep! No weekend work).

Essential criteria:

  • Proficient communication skills
  • Working with Children check
  • NDIS Workers Screening Check
  • Police check
  • Valid driver’s licence
  • First Aid & CPR

Desirable criteria

  • Allied Health Assistant certificate 3 or 4
  • Or currently enrolled or commencing an university Allied Health degree in 2025
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as part of a team to support the delivery of safe, efficient and high quality care to patients.
  • Demonstrated strong oral and written communication skills
  • Knowledge and understanding of NDIS practice standards
  • Information Technology competence: e.g. Google Suite and practice management system skills (Our practice software is Cliniko)
